eBay supports NRAS for World Arthritis Day

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) will be on the eBay checkout for a week beginning 11th October to coincide with World Arthritis Day (WAD).

'Checkout donation' is a scheme run by eBay whereby the shopper is given the choice to donate £1 to charity when paying for their item. NRAS were one of the few charities shown on the checkout during a week in July and managed to raise a fantastic £3,544, and now eBay have generously decided to support us again by putting us on the checkout for a week in October, to coincide with World Arthritis Day. More about World Arthritis Day.

We are asking all our members, volunteers, supporters and friends to support us by helping us publicise this to even more people! And of course, if you end up buying something from eBay that week remember to donate £1 to help us carry on supporting people with RA.  

What can you do to spread the word?

• Email everyone you know to tell them about it
• Post the news on your Facebook profile
• 'Tweet' it so all your followers see it
• If you have a blog, why not write about it?
• Tell everyone you know!
